1 Social Worker/Case Manager for the Children and Family Department in Sisimiut

The Welfare Area in Qeqqata Kommunia (Sisimiut) is seeking 1 social worker/case manager for the Children and Family Department.

Sisimiut is an exciting town with a colorful culture and nature as well as a rich sports and community life.

The Welfare Area is looking for a professionally skilled, committed, and competent leading social worker for the Children and Family Department, who is motivated to make a difference.

The Welfare Area consists of 31 employees distributed across the Children and Family Department, the elderly and disability department, and support functions - law, finance, and secretariat.

The Children and Family Department is staffed for 9 employees, including 1 Leading Social Worker, 1 Deputy Head, and Head of Children and Family.

The nearest reference is to the leading social worker.

In the Placed Teams, the social worker's primary tasks will be to manage placed cases, provide advice and guidance, establish support measures in accordance with applicable legislation, prepare and follow up on action plans and visitation agreements, referrals and assessments, attend network meetings, collaborate with internal and external partners, professional sparring in the Area, as well as ad-hoc tasks.

We expect you to;

·Have knowledge of legislation in the social area.

·Have experience with municipal case handling, etc.

·Be stable and loyal

·Have a good appreciative approach

·You have experience with network meetings and treatment meetings

Professional qualifications:

•Educated social worker or have another relevant social background.

•Bilingual but not a requirement

•Good linguistic and written skills.

• That you can maintain a good overview, even in stressful situations.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the agreements and collective agreements in force at any time.

A staff housing may be provided, for which payment is made according to applicable rules.

Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Criminal record:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
