The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and committed educator for the Daycare Nuka. For employment as agreed

There is space for 40 children in the Daycare Nuka. There are 20 children in each room

For children between 3-6 years.

Opening hours in the Daycare Nuka: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Staff distribution per room: A trained educator or similar, social worker and an assistant.

A kitchen assistant, cleaning assistant, and a manager.

Job content:

A trained educator or similar must participate in the kindergarten and in the room, and must work in the areas mentioned below:

·Someone who can take full responsibility when the manager, deputy manager, or educator is absent.

·Role model for other colleagues

·Who can collaborate closely with the consumers

·Can work according to
 Inatsisartut Law No. 62, of November 20, 2023.

The tasks are developed together with other employees and the parents.

The characteristics of the Daycare Nuka:

Health, going on trips outside every day, healthy food, exercise, Kammagiitta.

Have a special focus on preschool children, and have joint activities together with the children, employees, and parents every month.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
