We are looking for a technical manager for the "Building and Construction" department at DIH

The Technical Department is an independent department under the staff function "Buildings and Construction", where the department manages the operation of buildings and technical installations at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk. The Technical Department is physically located in Nuuk at Queen Ingrid's Hospital.

As a technical manager, it will be your responsibility to lead the work for the department's employees, ensure mandatory inspections, prepare annual plans for your own department, prioritize reported errors from employees at Queen Ingrid's Hospital, and of course be a sparring partner for the head of the Buildings and Construction staff. You will be part of the management team in Buildings and Construction consisting of a head of staff, a department head for medical equipment, project managers, and you as the technical manager.

We are looking for you who:

• Has experience with or is willing to take on a broad managerial position in Greenland with the cultural and professional considerations that come with such a position.
• Is educated to handle both administrative and managerial tasks. You are expected to be trained as a marine engineer.
• Has experience with or is willing to manage both employees and operations.
• Has experience with or is willing to learn about health professional considerations within your area of work.
• Has good collaboration skills, especially when things are moving fast or sharp prioritization is required.
• Is strong in communication both in writing and verbally.
• Greenlandic language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
