New daycare institution in Nanortalik is looking for a leader


About the new daycare institution:

The new daycare institution in Nanortalik is expected to open in October. The institution is expected to accommodate 76 children.


We are looking for a leader for the new daycare institution in Nanortalik, who is a trained educator or has equivalent experience.


In the Municipality of Kujalleq's daycare institutions, we emphasize that children develop through well-being, development, and creativity, therefore we are looking for a leader with experience in innovation and development, who can create a good environment for both children and staff. We are looking for a person who can take on leadership responsibility, is flexible regarding changing workdays, has a strong mindset, and can influence being a role model.


Work and responsibilities:

You will be jointly responsible for fulfilling the Inatsisartut law on pedagogical developmental offers for children in preschool age no. 62 of November 20, 2023. You have experience in creating frameworks for the management of daycare institutions. You can create safe communication with individuals responsible for the child.

We will strive to create a daily life where there is a balance between recognizability based on daily rhythm/time perception & unpredictability based on children's influence on the institution's culture. It is important that we together build a healthy & developing institution for all users. Therefore, the working environment is highly valued.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.


Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) or another relevant negotiating organization.


Start date: To be agreed with the applicant


The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period


Housing:

There will be staff housing available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary housing, for which rent, utilities etc. are paid according to the above.

Relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided in accordance with applicable rules.
