We are looking for two patient coordinators for our department, one surgical and one combined medical and surgical. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating patient pathways as well as collaborating with senior doctors and other professional groups. The position requires a healthcare-related education and good IT skills.

Patient Coordination is therefore looking for:

  • One surgical patient coordinator
  • One combined medical and surgical patient coordinator

The department is part of the Care Coordination and is divided into 4 sections: Surgical, Medical Patient Coordination, and Travel Coordination. The department consists of 10 patient coordinators, 7 travel coordinators, 2 master plan coordinators, and one coordinating head nurse.

In the Department of Patient Coordination, you will closely collaborate with the referring consultants and other partners, sharing responsibility for:

  • Planning and coordinating patient pathways
  • Inviting patients for examinations and treatments
  • Administration of referrals
  • Coordination of projects and specialist pathways
  • Optimization of workflows and resource utilization
  • Ensuring coherent and well-functioning patient pathways

We are looking for a colleague who:

  • Has a healthcare-related education
  • Is professionally well-founded and quality-conscious
  • Has an interest in the administrative field, coordination of treatment pathways
  • Has insight into geographical conditions and infrastructure that affect patient pathways in Greenland
  • Has knowledge of the Greenlandic healthcare system
  • Is passionate about making a difference for patients and relatives
  • Has good IT skills, preferably experience with COSMIC
  • Thrives in a central coordinating role with many interdisciplinary partners
  • Is structured, adaptable, and detail-oriented while maintaining an overview
  • Preferably bilingual, Greenlandic/Danish or willing to develop language skills

Your tasks will include:

  • Inviting patients and planning their overall examination and treatment pathways
  • Coordinating patient pathways for patients from Nuuk and the coast in close collaboration with Travel Coordination
  • Coordinating projects and focused pathways within selected specialties
  • Holding coordination meetings with various managements and key persons from the clinical departments for joint planning, capacity management, and optimization of patient pathways
  • Contributing to the development and optimization of workflows and ensuring effective utilization of the department's resources

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
