Development Therapist sought for the Therapy Department, Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk

The Therapy Department at Queen Ingrid's Hospital is seeking a candidate-trained individual to take on the role of development therapist. The position will be split between therapeutic work and development work. The position is 40 hours/week and will be divided between patient treatments and development work.

Job Responsibilities

As a development therapist in the department, you will:

• Conduct examination, treatment, and follow-up of hospitalized and outpatient patients.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with the hospital's other professional groups.
• Be the coordinator for the development and quality assurance of workflows, patient pathways, and clinical guidelines.
• Support evidence-based practice through literature searches, project work, and dissemination of new knowledge.
• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up on development initiatives

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed occupational or physiotherapist
• Have a master's degree in a relevant health-related field.
• Have an interest in quality development, implementation, and evidence-based practice.
• Work independently, structured, and purposefully.
• Have good collaboration skills and can create engagement around new initiatives.
• Have knowledge of the Greenlandic healthcare system and its organization.
• It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you speak Greenlandic.

About Us:

Queen Ingrid's Hospital is the national hospital in Greenland. The hospital is equipped for approximately 191 beds distributed across surgical, medical, and intensive care departments as well as a patient hotel.  

The Therapy Department consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, inventory managers, administrative staff, interpreters/assistants, receptionists, and chief therapists. We work closely together across professional groups and focus on quality, development, and a good working environment.

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and Employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
