Queen Ingrid's Hospital is seeking a healthcare assistant for the psychiatric area. The position involves daily tasks across departments, with a focus on flexibility and collaboration. Working hours are weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00, starting on November 1 or by agreement.

Health Assistant for Psychiatric Area – Queen Ingrid's Hospital

The psychiatric area is looking for a committed and flexible health assistant to take care of daily practical tasks across departments in the psychiatric area, starting on November 1 or by agreement.

The position is organized in such a way that you will solve tasks where the need arises in the psychiatric area. You will report daily to the leader in the department where your work tasks are performed.

Your work tasks

Your tasks will be varied and can take place across several units, including psychiatric ward A1, Ikaarsaarfik, psychiatric secretariat, and outpatient clinic.
The tasks include, among other things:

  • Cleaning and maintenance of common areas, washing rooms, and linen depots
  • Assisting in organizing meals together with the patients
  • Setting and clearing tables in collaboration with patients
  • Operating dishwashers and general kitchen order
  • Ensuring hygiene in kitchen areas
  • Ordering and handling catering for staff, meetings, and events
  • Picking up goods from the depot and central kitchen
  • Coordinating with bed-making regarding beds
  • Handling and picking up linen
  • Preparing and cleaning patient rooms upon discharge
  • Preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages to patients and staff
  • Taking on receptionist and interpreting tasks as needed
  • Planning and coordinating practical tasks in collaboration with management
  • Cross-functional tasks as needed (ad hoc)

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
