The Nursing Home in Upernavik is looking for 3 Social Health Assistants for employment on October 1, 2026.

The nearest supervisor for employees is the Manager of the nursing home.

Your tasks:

• Can work with the resident's physical and mental health
• Planning of tasks
• Basic observation, care, and support tasks
• Training for staff and students
• Mobilizing and activating the residents
• Collaboration with relatives
• Good communication and good with computers

Attributes:

• Is educated as a social health assistant or social health helper
• Is flexible and thrives in a daily routine, listens, and wants to help others
• Has responsible occupations for all information
• Has experience with home care
• Has experience with medication or can sort medication
• Is physically and mentally robust
• Friendly towards residents and staff, shows respect and is smiling

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the negotiating organization at the time of commencement.

No housing can be provided for the position.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate, which is obtained by the employer from the national police after the applicant's signature.
