KNI is looking for a new CEO who can lead one of Greenland's most important companies and ensure the continued development of the organization in balance between commercial ambitions and social responsibility.
The position entails overall responsibility for the operation of the KNI group, financial development, organizational leadership, and in collaboration with the board, the strategic direction.
The CEO must be able to navigate a complex stakeholder landscape consisting of the board, owner (Government of Greenland), customers, employees, partners, authorities, and the public, while ensuring high quality in daily operations across the country.
The CEO reports to KNI's board and is responsible for the overall management of the group.
The incoming CEO will have the overall responsibility to:
· Ensure reliable and efficient supply throughout Greenland
· Execute KNI's strategy and realize the group's objectives
· Ensure sound finances, profitability, and long-term sustainable development
· Develop the organization and strengthen the leadership culture across the group
· Promote digitization, innovation, and efficient workflows
· Ensure the company's governance, compliance, and risk management
· Maintain and further develop collaboration with the owner and other key stakeholders
· Strengthen KNI's reputation and position as a modern Greenlandic company
· Support the development of employees and leaders at all levels
· Ensure that KNI continues to fulfill its socially mandated tasks professionally and responsibly
The ideal candidate's competencies and experience:
The ideal candidate has significant experience from top management and documented results in managing complex organizations. Additionally, emphasis is placed on:
· Experience in leading leaders and larger organizations
· Experience in strategy execution and strategy development
· Experience in change management and transformation
· Documented results in financial management and business development
· Experience in modern digitization and organizational development
· Experience in high-level stakeholder management
· Experience in political and public stakeholder management
· Experience in business development, as well as good social and commercial understanding
· Experience in logistics, distribution, and supply chain
· Experience with or knowledge/connection to Greenland, Greenlandic culture, and geographical infrastructure. It will be an advantage to handle the Greenlandic language
