Qaqortoq Hospital is looking for an office assistant
Do you want to be part of an engaged and well-functioning office team at Qaqortoq Hospital?
We are looking for an office assistant who thrives in a versatile workday and wants to contribute to good and coherent patient pathways through professional administrative support.
You will be part of a team of six employees, where collaboration, interdisciplinary work, and professional development are central values. As an office assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the hospital's daily operations and the work of the doctors.
Qaqortoq Hospital serves the population throughout the Kujataa Region. The hospital also acts as a transit station for patients who have been discharged from Queen Ingrid's Hospital and need to continue to the region's health centers and settlements.
Your tasks
You will have a varied workday with among other tasks:
- Answering the switchboard and conveying various inquiries
- Handling internal and external mail as well as emails
- Scanning and registering documents and certificates in patient records
- Requesting and registering examinations and blood tests
- Registering death certificates, cancer notifications, and notifications to the National Health Board
- Ordering and coordinating patient travel in connection with settlement calls and evacuations
- Expediting letters, certificates, and declarations for the doctors
- Administrative assistance to the doctors, including handling examination results, rescheduling appointments, and creating new appointments in the electronic patient record
- Other administrative tasks related to the hospital's daily operations

About the Kujataa Region
The Kujataa Region consists of the regional hospital in Qaqortoq as well as the health centers in Narsaq and Nanortalik with associated settlements.
Qaqortoq has six associated settlements. There are just over 3,000 people living in Qaqortoq and more than 6,000 people in the entire region. You can read more about the town and the area at www.kujalleq.gl
Qaqortoq Hospital has about 65 employees. The hospital consists, among other things, of a ward and an outpatient clinic, each led by a department nurse.

Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for recruitment and relocation, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
