Are you the new leader we are looking for at Ajarsivasik

We are looking for an engaged and visionary leader for Ajarsivasik with a start date of October 1, 2026, or by further agreement. You will have management responsibility for the entire facility, including three team leaders and a well-functioning kitchen led by a housekeeper. As a leader, you will play a central role in ensuring quality, well-being, and development.

Ajarsivasik is a nursing and care home with 48 residents distributed across three departments:

• A dementia department
• A care department
• A department for more self-sufficient residents

You will have management responsibility for the entire facility, including three team leaders and a kitchen led by a housekeeper. As a leader, you will play a central role in ensuring quality, well-being, and development – both for residents, relatives, and employees.

Your main tasks

• Ensure quality and coherence in the operation of Ajarsivasik
• Lead, motivate, and develop employees in a multidisciplinary environment
• Develop professionalism within the elderly and dementia field
• Ensure compliance with political decisions and financial frameworks
• Engage in close collaboration with the municipality's other nursing home leaders and health professional coordinators
• Job placement

We are looking for a leader who

• Has a degree as a nurse
• Has broad experience in the elderly and disability field
• Has in-depth knowledge of the dementia field
• Has management experience and the ability to motivate and create collaboration
• Dares to think innovatively and take initiative for development and change
• Has financial insight and an eye for efficient operation
• Is loyal to political decisions and the municipality's values

Salary and employment conditions

Employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Housing can be provided at the employee's expense according to applicable rules. The municipality covers expenses for travel and moving costs in accordance with the applicable provisions.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the agreements in force between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

From the outside, housing can be made available, for which a deposit and rent are paid according to the applicable rules, as well as free relocation travel and moving of belongings - and after at least 3 years of employment - departure travel and moving of belongings according to applicable rules.
