PI/SPS is looking for an administrative officer for their department in Ilulissat. The position involves planning and administration of courses as well as collaboration with colleagues and municipalities. Social Pedagogical Seminar (PI/SPS) has departments in Ilulissat and Nuuk, with its headquarters in Ilulissat. The seminar has around 50 employees and approximately 300 students spread across eight programs.
The programs include: Daycare Assistant Education, Social Helper Education, Social Assistant Education, Professionally Oriented Bachelor's Degree in Social Pedagogy, Pedagogical Assistant Education, Counseling Assistant Education, Advisor in Social Work, and the Pedagogical Diploma Education.
In addition to the programs, we offer a range of courses for both unskilled and skilled employees in day and residential institutions throughout Greenland.
Our vision is to develop and enhance the social sector in Greenland with a particular focus on children, youth, and vulnerable citizens, as well as to be a leading provider of pedagogical and social competency development.
PI/SPS covers all of Greenland with the following significant functional areas:
• to educate qualified social pedagogical staff
• to conduct education and courses within social and pedagogical fields and social counseling
• to inspire development in the social pedagogical sector – professionally and educationally

Your daily tasks will include:
• Planning, coordinating, and administering courses, competency development programs, and further education
• Preparing and sending out course and teaching materials, course certificates, and information letters
• Contacting course participants, instructors, municipalities, and partners via phone and email
• Registering and administering course and further education participants in relevant IT systems
• Ordering and coordinating travel, accommodation, catering, and venues in connection with course and further education events
• Following up on budgets and finances related to course and further education activities
• Preparing applications for grants and project funds for activities in the Course Department
• Updating the website, course catalog, and other information platforms
• Marketing courses, competency development offers, and further education
• Participating in meetings with municipalities, institutions, and other partners
• Minor translation and administrative ad hoc tasks
The position entails significant responsibility for ensuring that course activities are planned, executed, and followed up in a professional and efficient manner.
Professionalism and competencies
• You are office trained and/or have another relevant education.
• You can work independently and systematically with coordinating tasks and collaborate to find solutions.
• You are service-minded, stable, and structured in your work.
• You are familiar with the Office suite and preferably IT registered.
• You thrive on handling multiple tasks simultaneously and can maintain an overview
• It is a great advantage if you master the Greenlandic language.

Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned for the position according to the applicable rules at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have a staff housing or another housing owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the housing, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller shared housing or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
