3 months temporary position in general medicine in the heart of Greenland

Are you interested in being the general medical part of the health team at Qasigiannguit health center together with three nurses, assistants, helpers, and porter/rescuers?

Your task will be to collaborate with other staff to provide the best possible health service, including health educational efforts.

It is an advantage if you can perform ultrasound examinations. X-rays and blood tests can be taken at the health center.

There is an opportunity for "Supervision" on all weekdays. This means telemedicine patient reviews with specialists from DIH (Queen Ingrid's Hospital) in Nuuk with a physician, surgeon, pediatrician, or psychiatrist.

There is close collaboration with DIH in Nuuk, also as the shifts are shared between the nurses in Qasigiannguit and those from DIH in Nuuk.

Opportunity to combine with employment in Aasiaat at the Regional Hospital, where there are 4-5 doctors. For example, introduction in Aasiaat for 2 weeks – and then a minimum of 2 months in Qasigiannguit.

• Workday from 08:00 – 16:00, with the possibility of taking time off for extra work
• A close collaboration with specialists from all specialties at DIH (Queen Ingrid's hospital in Nuuk), as well as the doctors at Aasiaat regional hospital.

We are looking for you who:

• Are eager to provide a health educational effort that makes a difference
• Preferably have a background in general or internal medicine, and Danish authorization
• Have at least a couple of years of clinical experience, and are eager to become part of Qasigiannguit Health Center

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
