Nanortalik Health Center is seeking a healthcare assistant for a permanent position or temporary employment. The tasks include consultations and working with patients in the emergency room and admissions. An interdisciplinary work environment is offered, focusing on collaboration and professional development.
Nanortalik Health Center is looking for a health assistant
The position can be applied for as a permanent position or a temporary position of 3-6 months duration from October 1, 2026, or by agreement.
The tasks in the Health Center primarily consist of consultations for the city's and villages' citizens, there is bed capacity for 10 beds and the patient clientele is mixed, as the place is both an emergency room and a receiving department for all patient categories in the city. You will therefore be working with both the emergency room, triage, and the admitted patients.
At times we work without a physical doctor here in Nanortalik – during those periods, there are telemedicine doctors from Nuuk.
There is close cooperation with the regional hospital in Qaqortoq, which is located north of Nanortalik

- We are a small health center with just under 17 employees all inclusive. Nanortalik is the southernmost health center in Greenland, where there are good hiking and sailing opportunities. The town is not far from areas on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
- As Nanortalik is on an island, one can get there by helicopter or boat
- Nanortalik is a town with just under 1,185 inhabitants and 3 associated villages.
- Upon permanent employment, a monthly recruitment allowance is provided

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
