Electrician

Nukissiorfiit District Disko is looking for a skilled electrician for Aasiaat and the associated villages. Do you want to contribute to our energy?

You will report daily to the Team Leader for Electricity Distribution in Aasiaat. We are looking for a colleague who can independently handle general electrical tasks, as well as provide advice, training, and assistance regarding the operation of production and distribution systems for electricity, heat, and water in Aasiaat and the associated villages.

Area of responsibility:

The electrician is responsible for daily and electrical advice and support in all matters related to the production and distribution of electricity, heat, and water.

The primary tasks also include maintaining and developing initiated measures including professional, safety, and administrative measures in accordance with given directives, instructions, and guidelines. The electrician actively contributes to creating good collaboration within the team in Aasiaat and across villages, the district, and the company.

Furthermore, it is the electrician's responsibility to ensure that internal procedures are continuously developed and followed, as well as to comply with applicable legislation in all areas, particularly:

• Safety and authority requirements.
• Contributes to managing and developing the responsibilities' capacities considering Aasiaat's characteristics.
• Professional training of employees under the area of responsibility in the electrical installations and systems as well as associated equipment and tools.
• Assists in training new employees before they join the shift in Aasiaat.
• Contributes to fulfilling and developing Nukissiorfiit Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.

Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Team Leader.

Be prepared for some travel activity both internally in the district and externally to other districts and the headquarters in Nuuk.

Salary - and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

There is a 3-month probation period.

Unfurnished staff housing may be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any time. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. If you have already been assigned staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained.

Free travel for arrival and departure is provided in accordance with applicable rules.
