KNI A/S is looking for a dedicated team leader for the Payroll Department, who will ensure accurate and timely payroll for employees. The position involves managing a competent team and focusing on quality, efficient operations, and good service. The application deadline is August 20, 2026.

We are looking for a committed and development-oriented team leader for the Payroll Department. You will be responsible for the daily management of a competent team and become a key person in the work of ensuring high quality, efficient operations, and good service to managers and employees throughout the municipality.

As a team leader, you must create the framework for a strong professional environment where collaboration, development, and quality are in focus.

About the position

The Payroll Department is responsible for payroll administration for employees and plays a central role in the organization. As a team leader, you will have both professional and personnel responsibilities for the employees in the department and must ensure that tasks are completed correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable legislation, agreements, and administrative guidelines.

You will report to the HR manager and engage in close collaboration with HR and other leaders across KNI A/S.

As a Team Leader, your primary tasks will be:

  • Daily management and coordination of work in the payroll department

  • Ensure correct and timely salary payments

  • Quality assurance of payroll processes and administrative workflows

  • Guide and support employees in professional matters

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of administrative processes

  • Ensure compliance with applicable agreements, contracts, and legislation

  • Prepare analyses, statistics, and management information

  • Collaborate with professional organizations and external partners

  • Contribute to the digitization and development of payroll and HR systems

We want the position filled by a person who:

  • Has a relevant educational background in administration, economics, HR, or similar

  • Has solid experience with payroll and personnel administration

  • Has leadership experience or documented leadership competencies

  • Has in-depth knowledge of agreements and administrative regulations

  • Works in a structured manner and has an eye for detail without losing overview

  • Is responsible, service-minded, and solution-oriented

  • Can create motivation, well-being, and development in the team

  • Has good collaboration and communication skills
