About Atuarfik Ilasiaq:
Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq will start a new section for the current heldagsskole in August 2025, which will thus be expanded and become its own school. The new school, Atuarfik Ilasiaq, is an offer for students who need special efforts, and it is dedicated to creating a specialized and inclusive learning environment focused on the students' competencies and individual prerequisites.

Atuarfik Ilasiaq is actively working to support children and young people who need an increased special pedagogical effort. The teaching is adapted to the individual student's needs and challenges, and we create close learning communities focused on inclusion, well-being, and learning.

The school is divided into two campuses:
One is a school offer for children with autism spectrum disorders, and the other is the former Heldagsskole – an offer for public school children with special needs who, for various reasons, require a different form of teaching.

We are looking for teachers who:

• ·Have a teaching degree and preferably further education in or experience with special pedagogy
• ·Can create safe and motivating learning environments
• ·Are committed to creating good conditions for the students' development and well-being

• ·Planning and implementing teaching that takes into account the students' individual needs
• ·Participation in the development of the school's academic and pedagogical profile

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received a child certificate from the national police as well as a criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:
No staff housing can be provided for the position.
