About Nuussuup Atuarfia:

Nuussuup Atuarfia is a grade-divided school with 400 students in grades 1-10 and with a dynamic, engaged, and stable teaching staff of 45 educators. The school has students in 17 regular classes and 5 special classes, where the students perform very well academically.

Teacher's hours:

Teachers must be class teachers for both 2nd grades, where they must be able to teach the subjects:

Greenlandic, Danish, mathematics, English, natural sciences, local choices, physical education, social studies, history, religion philosophy, and personal development

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received a child certificate from the National Police as well as a criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees with the right to temporary housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to the applicable rules.
