Campus Kujalleq in Qaqortoq is seeking an IT consultant/IT supporter for employment starting September 1, 2026. The position involves responsibility for the school's IT systems, support for employees and students, as well as the development of IT strategy. Experience as an IT consultant and good language skills are required.

Campus Kujalleq (CAK) in Qaqortoq is looking for a friendly, stable, and efficient IT consultant/IT supporter to start on September 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

CAK offers many different educational programs such as GUX, TNI Education, and Tourism Education. As a new IT consultant/supporter, you will be responsible for the school's overall IT systems, the IT systems used by the various departments, as well as support for employees and students, apprentices, and learners.

As an IT consultant/supporter, you will normally have the principal of Campus Kujalleq as your immediate superior.

As an IT consultant/supporter, you will collaborate with other staff in the administration, janitors, staff at the dormitory for young people under 18, cleaning staff, teachers, and other employees at CAK.

We expect you to be versatile and will work on the following tasks:

Strategic collaboration

  • Collaboration with management: Work closely with the deputy head, coordinators, and the principal regarding the procurement, operation, and development of the school's IT equipment and systems.
  • Development of IT strategy: Contribute to the development and ongoing adjustment of the school's overall IT strategy to support the institution's goals and needs.

Operation and maintenance

  • Daily operation: Ensure that the school's IT systems function optimally through ongoing adjustments, maintenance, and updates.
  • Supervision of IT equipment: Monitor and maintain the school's IT equipment to ensure reliable operation and long lifespan.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving on IT equipment and systems, as well as ensure quick recovery in case of operational issues.

Planning and finance

  • Financial responsibility: Operation of IT equipment within the established budget frameworks.
  • Procurement and expansion plan: Organize and implement plans for the procurement and expansion of IT equipment in consultation with management.

User service and training

  • Servicing users: Provide support to employees and students, including guidance, instructions, and resolution of IT-related issues.
  • User training: Spread knowledge of the functions, possibilities, and limitations of IT systems among the school's employees and students.

Collaboration and prioritization

  • Consensus with management: Work in close dialogue with the school's management to ensure agreement on IT strategies, priorities, and service levels.

       Requirements and responsibilities

  • Ensure stable operation and adjustment of IT systems in relation to the school's needs.
  • Work systematically and financially responsibly with the procurement and expansion of IT equipment.
  • Provide effective and friendly support to the school's employees and students to ensure optimal use of IT systems.
  • Contribute to a proactive IT development that supports educational and administrative purposes.

Professional expectations of you:

  • Education and experience as an IT consultant and IT supporter.
  • Language skills in Greenlandic and Danish, both orally and in writing.

Personal qualities that are highly valued:

  • You have experience in administration and service.
  • You are service-minded both for staff and students, and have a positive approach to working with different staff and students.
  • Independent and responsible.
  • Structured and systematic approach to problem-solving.

The working hours are 40 hours per week.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment can occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
 

Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned for the position according to the regulations in force at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have a staff housing or another housing owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the regulations in force for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the housing, ownership conditions, etc. There may be waiting time for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing or hotel apartments, for which taxation occurs. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
