Permanent Night Watch for the Housing Unit Kangillinnguit

Disability and Social Psychiatry is looking for a reliable and independent night watch for the Housing Unit Kangillinnguit. If you thrive on being awake at night and can motivate yourself, you are exactly who we are looking for as our new colleague.

The position is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, where you work from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, both on weekdays and weekends.

The Housing Unit Kangillinnguit is one of our smaller housing units in Nuuk. The unit accommodates 5 residents with mental disabilities and substance abuse. The residents have their own room and share a living room and kitchen where they cook and eat together and have social interactions. Your core task will be to ensure that there is peace in the house at night and to support our residents in a healthy daily rhythm, so that your colleagues during the day can help the residents to be as self-sufficient as possible and live a good and meaningful life as they wish.

Your tasks:

·Maintain and preserve the night peace in the house

·Set boundaries for residents who want activities at night

·Various practical tasks in the house

·You have experience working with people, preferably in the field

·Are caring and welcoming, and see that it is the way to a good working environment

·Have a desire to develop yourself and our department, making a meaningful difference for the resident

In this position, you will become part of a larger community: We are a department with eight housing units, five housing collectives, two activity and social offers, and three support corps distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut.

Criminal Record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
