Kommune Kujalleq is in a very special situation, where the Inatsisartut law on support for children is suspended. This means that we are an administration in change and that Naalakkersuisut has had the overall responsibility for the administration since November 2024. In your upcoming daily life, you will notice that we work closely with social workers and management from the Social Agency. As a leading social worker, you will receive professional sparring and support to help you grow in the role and create sustainable frameworks for your colleagues.

Your new tasks will include:

• Contributing to developing new initiatives that strengthen the well-being of children and youth.
• Having an important coordinating and leading role in the daily work of caseworkers and case processing.
• Helping to ensure direction and professionalism in close collaboration with caseworkers.
• Working preventively and outreach – both in the local community and through cross-sector collaboration.
• Taking ownership of cases and case processing to ensure progress in the cases.
• Contributing to employee well-being by taking responsibility for employee well-being, development, and administration such as: social guard planning.

About you

• Salary - and employment conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Atorfillit Kattuffiat for Social Workers and caseworkers employed under Self-Government and the Greenlandic municipalities.

Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be included in the municipality's assessment of who should be employed in the position

Housing is provided, for which rent etc. is paid according to applicable rules.

As well as free relocation travel and moving expenses – and after at least 3 years of employment - termination and moving expenses according to applicable rules.
