We are looking for a nurse for education and development-related tasks

Are you passionate about ensuring high professional quality in patient pathways, development, and research? If so, we would really like to hear from you.

We want a nurse for education and development-related tasks. The position consists of clinical tasks as well as educational and developmental tasks, where the distribution is 50/50, in close collaboration with colleagues, the head nurse, and the chief nurse in the Surgical Area.

The position is located in department K1 with direct reference to the head nurse in close collaboration with the chief nurse.

The position is 40 hours/week with a reduced on-call burden.

K1 is an orthopedic surgical ward with a subspecialty in ear, nose, and throat surgery. K1 has 18 beds, where we primarily have acute and elective patients, including knee and hip arthroplasties. We receive patients from all over the country and also evacuations from the coast. K1 also has a wound outpatient clinic.

The position is a relatively newly created position from 2025, and you will become part of a group of nurses and a single midwife for education and development in the Surgical Area.

In 2024, we have worked towards being able to use Improvement Boards in the department, and your first task will be to acquire knowledge about the improvement work and to facilitate the improvement board concerning the improvements that the department is facing.

We offer:

  • A targeted introduction tailored to your qualifications
  • A close collaboration with the head nurse in the department and the chief nurse
  • An engaged, experienced, and skilled staff at K1
  • Participation in relevant forums for education and development nurses and midwives in the Surgical Area

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a qualified nurse, have Greenlandic authorization, and preferably a master's degree
  • Have broad experience in orthopedics or ear, nose, and throat surgery
  • Present as a role model in clinical work and can support improvement efforts in clinical practice
  • Have good relational and communicative skills and are able to work purposefully
  • Are professionally updated and keep up with the latest knowledge and research in the specialty
  • Are an initiator who independently initiates, coordinates, and supports development initiatives related to clinical practice
