The surgical outpatient clinic is seeking an engaged and independent nurse for a permanent position in the surgical outpatient clinic.

The surgical outpatient clinic consists of a permanent staff group that spans widely in terms of age and seniority, and which values good collaboration highly with room for humor and professional sparring.

You will have an exciting workday with professional challenges within the specialties of orthopedic surgery, parenchymal surgery, urology, gynecology, and ear-nose-throat. Additionally, we have Greenland's only endoscopy department with endoscopic examinations daily, so experience with endoscopy would be an advantage, but not a requirement.

We encompass many different specialties and we have specialty responsible and key persons associated with these to ensure the professional level.

We travel on coastal trips with endoscopy and with the ENT specialty to 10 different towns and settlements in Greenland. You will be able to participate in the coastal trips when the competencies for this are in place.

In the Surgical Outpatient Clinic, you will work in the short meeting with the patient, where we place high importance on patient safety in the effective patient journey. We also use an electronic patient journal system, Cosmic. IT will be a significant part of your everyday life.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM.

We are looking for a nurse who:

• Is independent with good collaboration skills, responsible, and curious
• Is willing to utilize their professionalism, learn new things, and prioritizes professionalism and quality highly
• Is flexible, positive, and approachable
• Has experience or interest in the short patient journey
• Prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration highly
• Has knowledge of IT – preferably Cosmic

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable at any time in the Greenlandic Health Service.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
