We are looking for a patient coordinator for our surgical department, where you will work with planning and coordinating patient pathways. You should have a healthcare-related education and an interest in administrative tasks. The position offers independent work in an energetic team focused on efficient patient pathways.

The department is part of the Pathway Coordination and is divided into 3 sections: Surgical -, Medical Patient Coordination and Travel Coordination.
The department consists of 10 patient coordinators, 7 travel coordinators, 2 master plan coordinators, and a coordinating department nurse.
In the Department of Patient Coordination, you will, in collaboration with the referring consultants, have a shared responsibility for calling in patients as well as planning and coordinating daily treatment pathways, projects, and specialists. It is your task to ensure that workflows, work planning, and resource consumption are planned, coordinated, and managed effectively within the surgical area.
We focus on ensuring efficient and professionally coordinated patient pathways, and maybe you are our new colleague.
We expect you to:
- Have a health professional education
- Be professionally well-founded, preferably within the surgical area. But not a requirement.
- Have an interest in the administrative field, including planning of examinations and treatment pathways, administration of referrals and calling in patients
- Have insight into geographical conditions and infrastructure that influence patient pathways
- Have insight into the Greenlandic Health System
- Have a desire to make a difference and are passionate about ensuring patients' professional pathways
- Have flair for IT, including our electronic patient journal COSMIC
- Be comfortable having a central role in an organization with broad interdisciplinary partners
- Be adaptable, detail-oriented with a sharp eye on the whole, action-oriented, and have good collaboration skills.
- Preferably bilingual, Greenlandic/Danish
The department's tasks include:
- Calling in surgical patients, as well as planning the entire treatment pathway for these
- Calling in patients from the coast and Nuuk
- Calling in patients for upcoming examination/treatment, as well as managing waiting lists
- Calling in patients for projects, i.e., focused pathways with a specific specialty.

Housing
Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health System at any time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
