We are looking for specialists in general medicine for temporary positions of at least 6-8 weeks and preferably longer.

Queen Ingrid's Health Center (DIS) in Nuuk is physically located in connection with the national hospital, Queen Ingrid's Hospital, (DIH) in Nuuk.
The health center is a modern health center that provides primary health services for Nuuk and associated settlements.
We have 10 specialists in general medicine and 13 younger doctors in the clinic.

The health center resembles a Danish general practice in daily operations, in addition, we have a duty doctor and emergency room function available around the clock, which is alternately handled by doctors employed at the health center.
This means that virtually all types of patients are received and treated or referred to DIH. As a specialist, your primary task will be general medical consultation.
We guarantee challenging workdays that will be developing and challenging both professionally and personally. A prerequisite for a good workday is that you are able to collaborate with different professional groups.

In collaboration with DIH, we are approved for training specialists in general medicine, we have KBU, introductory and HU doctors employed.
The medical further education in Greenland is organized in collaboration with the further education secretariat in Region South, Vejle.

You will experience that Nuuk is a modern capital in the midst of the magnificent Greenlandic nature. The city, with its 20,000 inhabitants, provides good conditions for singles, couples, and families with children. With good shopping opportunities, restaurants, cafes, cultural and sports facilities, you do not need to be into extreme sports and polar adventures to enjoy your everyday life. There are short distances, which means you avoid wasting time in traffic and can focus on what is important.

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
