Qeqqata Municipality is seeking a committed and development-oriented learning consultant who will contribute to strengthening the coherence between the municipality's various learning environments and support the development of quality in learning and teaching.
The position has been established as part of strengthening the education sector with a focus on creating coherence between municipal and national learning efforts, as well as ensuring a clear connection across daycare institutions, schools, Majoriaq, and other initiatives within the education sector.
The position can be filled with a workplace in either Sisimiut or Maniitsoq.
About the position
As a learning consultant, you will be a central resource in the work of creating coherence between learning environments, strengthening cross-disciplinary collaboration, and supporting the development of shared understandings of learning in the municipality.
You will work closely with leaders and employees across the education sector and collaborate with Kivitsisa on the implementation of learning strategies and development initiatives.
The position requires that you can work both strategically and translate ideas and visions into concrete actions in practice.
Your tasks
- Coordinate learning efforts across the education sector.
- Strengthen the collaboration between day care institutions, schools, Majoriaq, and other relevant stakeholders in the education sector.
- Contribute to the implementation of municipal and national strategies, initiatives, and development goals in the area of learning.
- Collaboration with Kivitsisa on the implementation of learning strategies and development projects.
- Support the development of learning environments with a focus on quality, well-being, and professional development.
- Contribute to quality development, evaluation, and follow-up on learning initiatives.
- Facilitate networks, workshops, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
- Contribute to the development of common initiatives, annual plans, and learning objectives across the education sector.
- Advise and consult with leaders and employees on learning, development, and implementation.

- Has a relevant higher education degree in pedagogy, teaching, learning, or similar.
- Has experience with development and change processes.
- Can create relationships and collaborate across disciplines and organizational levels.
- Works in a structured and independent manner.
- Has strong communication and presentation skills.

About the Education Sector in Qeqqata Municipality
The education sector includes, among other things, daycare institutions, schools, MISI, Majoriaq, leisure and cultural areas, as well as preventive and early interventions. We are working purposefully to create a common direction, strengthen collaboration, and ensure good learning and development opportunities for children, young people, and adults throughout the municipality.
The learning consultant will become a key person in this work and will contribute to creating coherence between the many initiatives and actors in the area, as well as supporting the development of a clear thread in the learning processes.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant trade union.
The position is a full-time position with a start date of September 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
The workplace is either Sisimiut or Maniitsoq as agreed upon with the employee.
There can be assigned staff housing for which rent is paid according to applicable regulations.
Housing cannot be expected to be provided upon commencement, but the municipality will assist in finding temporary accommodation during the transition period, if possible.
