Music Teacher for Serravik Music School in Sisimiut

Position at Serravik is available for filling. The position is a full-time position.

Serravik is a music and culture school in Sisimiut under Qeqqata municipality, and offers music education for children, youth, and adults. Serravik also runs general leisure education in Sisimiut.

Serravik has recently moved into brand new facilities adjacent to the city's cultural house, and is thus part of an active and inspiring environment that is the city's cultural center. The building houses classrooms, recording facilities, a stage, conference rooms, a library, and a café. The school is a lively and dynamic workplace, and participates in many projects both locally, nationally, and internationally.

Job Responsibilities

Primary tasks will include:

• Teaching music. Instruments/subjects will be arranged according to the applicant's qualifications.
• Participation in events, concerts, and other communication activities
• We are looking for a person with the following qualities:
• Good collaboration skills
• Preferably experience working with children
• High-level music professional competencies
• Relevant education, e.g., conservatory education, primary school teacher with music as a major, pedagogical education with a musical extension or similar.
• Local ties and Greenlandic language skills are an advantage
• The instructor is expected, in addition to the above, to participate in the school's daily work and be an active part of the staff group.

Salary and Employment Conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreements between Naalakkersuisut and the negotiating organization

Housing may be provided for the position, for which a deposit/rent etc. is paid, and relocation travel as well as moving expenses are provided in accordance with applicable rules
