Editor for Educational Material Production

SEARCH THIS POSITION The Education Agency's publishing house Ilinniusiorfik wishes to strengthen the work of publishing educational materials. The publishing house is working intensively to develop new educational materials, focusing on new and current teaching courses with student-activating content, as well as systems for primary schools, development of digital materials, and new working methods. The development of educational materials takes place in collaboration with the agency's other school consultants and external professionals.

Therefore, the Danish Agency for Education and Quality is seeking an editor who is innovative in educational resource production and results-oriented with insight into modern and technology-based teaching materials.

So far, there is talk of 1 project position until the end of 2027, with the possibility of extension.

About the position

The publishing house Ilinniusiorfik is engaged in both the development of entirely new teaching materials, versions of existing teaching materials, as well as the communication and linguistic arrangement of both digital and analog didactically designed publications. Our new colleagues will join a team with the other editors of the publishing house. The publishing house's editors also contribute to the Education Agency's other tasks in collaboration with colleagues and external partners.

• Has experience with editorial work and the use of IT.
• Has experience with technology-based teaching

• Is flexible and can work independently
• Is a strong communicator
• Master both Greenlandic and Danish at a high level.

The Education Agency is a politically governed organization under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Church. We are a diverse workplace with many different functions, which, in addition to more traditional agency functions, also has its own publishing house, printing house, and information and lending collections. The agency primarily deals with public schools, boarding schools, and independent schools, as well as the new GUX, Attat, and NUIKI. We are about 50 colleagues who take pride in maintaining a high professional standard in an informal environment.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
