The media house Sermitsiaq is looking for a journalist for the editorial team in Nuuk.

Greenland is rapidly developing. New business opportunities, political decisions, and societal changes create significant stories every day that require thorough and credible journalism.

We are therefore looking for a journalist who will be close to the events and convey news and stories that create insight, perspective, and debate.

Your everyday life with us

As a journalist at Sermitsiaq, you will be part of the daily news coverage and will work on topics that engage people across Greenland.

You will write news, background articles, and reports, as well as follow developments in business, politics, and society. The work brings you close to both decision-makers and citizens, and you will have the opportunity to shed light on the consequences that developments have for people across the country.

About the Media House Sermitsiaq

The media house Sermitsiaq publishes Sermitsiaq and AG and operates the news site Sermitsiaq.AG. We have employees in Nuuk, Ilulissat, Qeqertarsuaq, and Denmark and work across platforms to reach our readers where they are.

Commencement: September 1, 2026, or by agreement

Salary and employment conditions follow the applicable agreement between the Danish Union of Journalists and the Media House Sermitsiaq.

Bilingual applicants are preferred, but it is not a requirement. Examples of articles can be attached for reference.
