Disability and social psychiatry seeks a caring employee for the Pakkutaq Housing Unit in Nuuk. The position is full-time with varying hours. You will assist residents with physical or mental disabilities in maintaining and developing their skills. The work involves collaboration with colleagues and external partners to enhance residents' quality of life.
DISABILITY AND SOCIAL PSYCHIATRY is looking for a caring employee for the Housing Unit Pakkutaq, located in Nuuk. If you want to make a difference for our residents, you are exactly who we need as our new colleague.
The position is a full-time job of 40 hours a week with varying working hours. You will be part of a dedicated community that values learning and development highly.
The housing unit Pakkutaq has space for 12 residents aged 18-67 with physical or mental disabilities. Your core task will be to help each resident maintain and develop their physical, mental, and social skills. Together with your dedicated colleagues, you will support the resident in maintaining and developing their identity, self-esteem, and joy of life.

Your tasks:
To work on developing the residents towards a higher degree of self-sufficiency and increased quality of life, among other things, through the work with the residents' action plans.
To motivate and support the residents in everyday activities such as a walk, shopping, and doctor visits.
To strengthen the community in the living unit through collaboration with colleagues, leaders, and residents.
The tasks are carried out in close collaboration with the other staff of the housing unit as well as internal and external partners, including caseworkers, Ikaarsaarfik, Queen Ingrid's Hospital, and the criminal justice system.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
