Greenland Sports Confederation is seeking a strong project and team player for a maternity cover position that drives central initiatives across the organization – with responsibility for project management of GAME Greenland, the Maligassiuisut show, as well as team leadership for "More in Motion," along with communication tasks.
Period: April 1, 2026 – May 1, 2027 Workplace: By agreement (travel activity in Greenland is to be expected) Employment type: Fixed-term full-time position
Your mandate and your main tasks
1) Project Management – GAME Greenland

Plan, manage, and follow up on deliveries, milestones, budget, and risks.

Coordinate across partners and municipalities – including volunteers and young role models.

Ensure the operationalization of activities (trainings, events, educational programs, etc.) and ongoing learning/effect measurement.

Prepare status and decision proposals for the steering group and board.
-
Communication in Greenlandic is preferred.

Manage the editorial calendar across web, newsletter, and social media (text, photo, short video).
-
Press and media tasks: angle, press releases, support for spokespersons, etc.

Ensure consistent branding and language use as well as simple documentation of results (cases, fact sheets, stories).

Conducting course activities for members and special federations.

Manage schedule, budget, and delivery overview (location, technology, run-of-show, awards).

Collaboration with partners, sponsors, hosts, and volunteers – and ensuring visibility before/during/after the show.

Prepare programs, script drafts, briefing packages, and other materials.

Lead a small, interdisciplinary team with clear goals, priorities, and follow-up.

Capacity building and sparring of colleagues/ambassadors across projects and geography.

Ensure coherence between initiatives, data/insights, and communication – so we reach more people with meaningful movement.

Strong project manager with proven experience in complex partnerships – preferably within sports, culture, events, or civil society.

Communicator who can make the complex simple – and who thrives with press, web, and social media.

Event/production experienced, structured and calm under pressure (deadlines, show timelines, changes on the day).

Experienced in Office 365/Teams/Planner; experience with light photo/video editing is an advantage.

Language: You write and speak fluent Greenlandic, and it is a great advantage to know Danish and English.
