Course leader specialized in tourism sought for Campus Kujalleq

Are you passionate about the development of tourism and course activities? Do you have strong leadership skills and a desire to make a difference in tourism? Then you might be the one we are looking for as the new course leader at Campus Kujalleq for a part-time position of 1080 hours a year, equivalent to 60.54%.

In special cases, there will be the possibility of a combined position, where the remaining 704 hours, corresponding to 39.46% of the position based on the applicant's qualifications, may possibly be covered by teaching at the Business School or as an internship coordinator and study advisor, so that the position overall constitutes a full-time position or a higher employment grade.

Commencement on April 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

About the position as course leader

As a course leader, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing course activities across the departments of Campus Kujalleq, with a particular focus on the tourism department and the requirements of the tourism law. You will be a key player in the collaboration with both instructors, management, and external partners.

Your tasks:

  • Develop and plan courses in collaboration with subject teachers and management.
  • Ensure quality and relevance in course content and format
  • Handle administrative tasks such as course registrations, scheduling, and evaluation.
  • Build networks with businesses, municipalities, and organizations.
  • Participate in the strategic development of the course department
  • Contribute to the marketing and visibility of Campus Kujalleq's course offerings.
  • Has a relevant higher education, preferably with experience in tourism.
  • Has experience in teaching, course planning, or project management.
  • Is structured, cooperative, and good at maintaining an overview.
  • Has good communication and presentation skills in both Kalaallisut, Danish, and English.
  • Has knowledge of or interest in the Greenlandic education system, society, and tourism law.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not permitted to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
