About the position
The position of lead social worker in the Department for Advising Caseworkers is part of Naalakkersuisut's decision on the partial suspension of Kommune Kujalleq's social area.
The leading social worker has the daily professional responsibility for case management in Qaqortoq. The position aims to ensure a high quality of case processing, compliance with applicable legislation, and to support a professional and safe working environment for the caseworkers.
Your tasks will include:

Daily professional management of caseworkers in Qaqortoq.

Responsible for ensuring that case processing is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, internal guidelines, and good administrative practice.

Overall responsibility for the systematics and quality in case processing.

Responsible for ensuring that caseworkers receive the necessary professional support, supervision, and guidance.

Responsibility for quality assurance of decision letters and applications before submission to management.

Responsible for coordination, briefing, and debriefing in connection with urgent cases.

Ensure the quality of ombudsman cases, complaint cases, and court cases, as well as compliance with deadlines.

Meeting leader for various meetings, such as case meetings and social duty meetings.

Responsible for the Interdisciplinary Cooperation Committee.

Educated social worker or equivalent relevant education.

In-depth knowledge of the legislation in the field of children.

Experience with case management and professional leadership.

Good collaboration and communication skills.

Ability to work systematically, structured, and holistically.

Robustness and ability to handle acute and complex cases.
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
Criminal record and child certificate
The Social Authority reserves the right to obtain a criminal record and a child protection certificate. We therefore emphasize that the employment can only take effect once the Social Authority has received a satisfactory child protection certificate from the National Police as well as a criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the Social Authority with written consent from the individual, while the criminal record must be obtained by the individual themselves through the Police.
