Lawyer for the Danish Telecommunications Authority

The Danish Energy Agency is seeking an engaged lawyer who can contribute to the development of the telecommunications and radio sector and ensure a strong foundation for both citizens, businesses, and the critical infrastructure of society. The position involves close collaboration with both the Government of Greenland, operators, and other key stakeholders.

About the Danish Agency for Digitization

The Danish Energy Agency consists of two departments: the Telecommunications Department, which supervises compliance with the telecommunications law and concessions, and the Radio Department, which manages the radio communications area and allocates frequency licenses. Together, the departments work to ensure a stable, secure, and future-proof telecommunications and radio system in Greenland.

Preparation of proposals for new legislation

Legal interpretation and advice

Legal case processing

Preparation and review of agreements

Solution of various legal tasks relevant to the telecommunications and radio sector

We expect

You are educated as a Master of Laws / Master of Science in Business Administration, Law.

You are flexible, responsible, and collaborative.

You have drive and commitment and thrive in dialogue with both colleagues and external parties.

You can express yourself clearly – both in writing and orally.

You are curious and proactive in seeking new knowledge and professional contexts.

You can handle both tasks that require deep focus and tasks with tight deadlines.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of one or more of the agency's areas of expertise, Greenlandic conditions, or experience from the public sector or other politically governed organizations.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
