Business Controller

Would you like to work with financial management, controlling, and business development in one of Greenland's largest contracting companies – while also having the opportunity for a future permanent position?

At Permagreen, we are looking for a Business Controller for a maternity cover position to start as soon as possible. The position is time-limited, but there will be good opportunities for subsequent permanent employment in a similar role.

You will be part of the finance department at the headquarters in Nuuk, where you will play a central role in the financial management and development of the company. Here, you will have a daily routine with great variety, close collaboration across the organization, and the opportunity to influence both processes and decisions.

Your tasks

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Preparation and follow-up on liquidity management
• Financial reporting and controlling
• Analysis of financial results as well as identification of risks and improvement opportunities
• Budget follow-up and financial sparring for management
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
• Internal control and risk management
• Optimization and development of ERP and financial processes
• Participation in the development and optimization of workflows in the finance function
• Sparring and coordination with financial staff and other departments

Your profile

• Has a relevant education in economics, accounting, or controlling
• Has experience from a similar position in finance or controlling
• Works in a structured and independent manner
• Has strong analytical skills and thrives with responsibility
• Is good at collaborating and communicating across the organization.

Permagreen is Greenland's largest local contracting company with over 70 years of experience in the construction industry. We carry out construction in both total and main contracts throughout Greenland and have in-house production in earthworks, concrete, carpentry, painting, and masonry.

The company generates an annual revenue of approximately 450 million DKK and employs around 350 staff. The headquarters is located in Nuuk, and in addition, we have branches in Sisimiut, Maniitsoq, Qaqortoq, and Narsaq.

In Nuuk, we have around 160 employees divided between hourly workers and salaried staff. Based in Nuuk – where a large part of Greenland's major construction projects are carried out – the department has built solid experience in executing both total and main contracts.
