Greenland Police is seeking a controller for the Finance Department. You will play a central role in the operation and development of financial management, monitoring expenditures and accounting, as well as managing the budget. The position requires strong data analysis, financial understanding, and communication skills. Travel may be required. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.

In your daily work, you will be responsible for monitoring the district's consumption and accounting, as well as managing the district's budget. In addition, you will also assist and share responsibility for the internal controls of the circle. This involves inspecting, among other things, the circle's handling of purchases, facilities, weapons, lost property, as well as costs, and reporting on behalf of the circle. About the position
Greenland Police is the geographically largest police district in the Realm of Denmark and manages an evolving economy, which requires daily financial management and communication of financial information that supports and anchors the district's decisions in everyday life and in connection with a number of Multi-Year Agreement initiatives.
Management of the district's budget and regular communication of the finances are therefore among the primary tasks. We are working to develop the district's foundation for knowledge levels and insights to benefit strategic objectives within the Greenland Police and the North Atlantic region.
In addition, there will be several ongoing tasks, such as preparing personnel analyses, and one will need to assist project managers broadly within the organization.
In addition to the above tasks, the job will also include the following:

Prepare monthly and quarterly budget follow-ups as well as financial analyses and reporting.

Follow-up on the company's capital portfolio, including investments, activation, and depreciation.

Coordinate and contribute to the management of internal development projects across the organization.

Develop and implement new solutions, including conducting process mapping and optimizing administrative workflows.

Contribute to general business development, including the preparation of guidelines, action cards, etc.
About you
We imagine that you have a higher education in economics or social sciences (for example, within cand.merc., cand.scient.pol. or equivalent – but other educational backgrounds are also of interest if the experience matches the task).

Salary and employment conditions
Compensation will be based on education level, qualifications, and in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization.
The working hours are 40 hours per week and your workplace will be the Main Station, Imaneq 22, 3900 Nuuk.
A non-furnished staff apartment can be assigned to the position, which you will pay for in terms of deposit, rent, and ongoing expenses. The size of the apartment depends on the number of people in your household and is located within approximately 7 km from the Main Station. Since there may be a waiting period for the assignment of a permanent staff apartment, a furnished temporary apartment will be made available to you in the meantime. You will not pay rent as long as you live in the temporary accommodation, but there will be taxation on the free housing. No temporary accommodation will be provided if you are already residing in Nuuk.
Household moving and relocation travel are provided in accordance with the applicable rules at any given time.
It is a prerequisite for employment that you can obtain security clearance, and you must also be able to maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.
