The residential unit Seernaq in Nuuk is seeking 2 employees with an educational or health background for full-time positions. The job involves supporting residents with disabilities to promote their independence and well-being. SEARCH THIS POSITION Are you passionate about working with adults with disabilities and do you want to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life for the residents? Then you now have the opportunity to become a part of the Housing Unit Seernaq in Nuuk.
We are looking for 2 dedicated employees, who can be skilled or unskilled, but who have a pedagogical or health-related background or experience, for full-time positions of 40 hours a week, with rotating day, evening, and weekend shifts.
The residential unit Seernaq is one of the larger residential units in Nuuk and has 19 residents with physical and/or mental disabilities, including developmental disabilities and autism.
We work with a focus on supporting the residents in their daily lives, so they achieve the greatest possible independence, well-being, and quality of life. The work is based on the individual resident's needs, resources, and wishes.
You will be part of a staff group with both skilled and unskilled employees with educational and health professional backgrounds. Collaboration, respect, and professionalism are central values in everyday life.
Your primary tasks will be:
To support and guide the residents in daily activities and routines.
To contribute to the residents' personal, social, and practical development.
To create structure, security, and predictability in the residents' daily lives.
·To participate in the planning and execution of activities
·To collaborate with colleagues, management, relatives, and other partners.
To document relevant observations and efforts
·To contribute to a good working environment and good collaboration
We expect that you:
·Has an educational or health-related background, either as a skilled worker or unskilled with relevant experience.
Has an interest in working with adults with disabilities
Is responsible, stable, and cooperative.
Can work both independently and in a team.
·Has a recognizing and respectful approach to the residents
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

About us:
The housing unit Seernaq is part of a larger department that includes several housing units, residential offers, and support services in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. We are continuously working on the development of professionalism, quality, and collaboration.
Job interviews are expected to be held in week 12.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Greenland Self-Government, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
No housing can be provided for the position.
