Aasiaat Elderly and Care Home is seeking 3 health assistants, preferably with experience in elderly and disability care. Responsibilities include resident care, nursing tasks, and student guidance. Working hours are 80 hours/14 days with rotating shifts. Application deadline is February 23, 2026.
The nursing and care home is looking for 3 health care assistants, preferably with experience in elderly and disability care, but this is not a requirement.
The nursing and care home is divided into 3 groups, 1 dementia department with 2 floors, and 1 with a department requiring lighter care.
The departments do not operate as separate entities running independently, but work with the other groups.
Areas of responsibility:
Care and support of residents
Maintenance of residents' function
·Perform nursing tasks, including specific tasks
·Advisor for students
·Contribute to development work in the institution
·Contact link between relatives/family of the residents
·To enjoy a busy everyday life
Expectations of you:
You should enjoy working with the elderly and disabled who require heavy care and attention.
·Can work independently
·Has knowledge of aging including dementia and other diseases
Responsible and cooperative
·Personal and professional development
Salary and employment conditions:
Employed according to the applicable collective agreement.
Working hours 80 hours/14 days, rotating shifts, day-evening and night shifts as well
Shifts on weekends and public holidays.
Housing cannot be provided for the position.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We therefore want to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
