Siunnersuisut is a department in motion – focused on quality, collaboration, and development. We are 13 dedicated employees working with public assistance, disability pensions, and citizen services. As part of Social Services, we engage in broad collaborations both internally within the municipality and externally.

Your tasks:
As an employee with us, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself – and contribute to the development of the department. The tasks include, among other things:
Case processing and advice regarding public assistance, early retirement pension, and citizen services.
Administrative tasks related to case processing
Introduction and support for new colleagues in the department
Participation in development tasks and improvements of workflows
·Ad hoc tasks where you can put your stamp on the solutions
We expect that you:
·Has a social work education as a social worker, counseling assistant, or equivalent
·Has an interest in working closely with citizens and contributing to good solutions
·Is curious, cooperative, and ready to take responsibility
·Can communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
·Thrives in a daily routine where it can be busy, but where we help each other.
Is positive, welcoming, and structured
·Proficient in Greenlandic and Danish – an advantage, but not a requirement
·Advantage with case processing in the area and preferably an affinity for IT (GetOrganized and AX prism), but not a requirement. Preferably has an affinity for IT or is willing to learn new systems.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
