Greenland's Electricity Authority is seeking an electrical inspector for the Central Electricity and Gas Authority in Nuuk.
The tasks vary widely. They can include supervisory tasks throughout Greenland, case follow-up, or administrative tasks.
You will work independently and in a team. In periods, you should expect a fair amount of travel activity.
The Greenlandic Electricity Authority is headquartered in Nuuk.
The Greenland Electricity Authority is a subordinate entity in the Department of Business, Minerals, Energy, Justice, and Gender Equality and has the status of an independent regulatory body with the overall responsibility for electricity and gas safety in Greenland. In administrative matters, the Greenland Electricity Authority reports to the Department of Business, Minerals, Energy, Justice, and Gender Equality.
Greenland's Electricity Authority is responsible for the administration of the Landsting Regulation No. 12 of November 3, 1994, concerning electrical installations, electrical installations, and electrical equipment. Greenland's Electricity Authority oversees the control and supervision of electrical installations and equipment.
The Greenland Electricity Authority is authorized under the Landsting Ordinance to establish regulations regarding electrical installations and electrical equipment and is authorized to establish regulations concerning safety and quality management systems for authorized companies or applicants for authorization, including requirements for documentation thereof as well as for approval thereof.
The Greenland Electricity Authority is responsible for ongoing control and supervision of facilities, gas equipment, and authorizations in accordance with the Inatsisartut Act on gas facilities, gas equipment, and authorization requirements. The Greenland Electricity Authority is authorized under the Inatsisartut Act to establish provisions and update regulations, including the Gas Regulation for Greenland.

Your tasks will be: Planning, administration, and execution of inspection visits around Greenland

Organization and implementation of supervision of the electrical industry's safety and quality management of supervision (SKS-A and SKS-D).

Contribute to the production of the electricity authority's publications and participate in the work of informing the public about electrical safety.

Participate in the work with statistics and analysis of electrical fires and accidents in Greenland's Electricity Authority's Nordic and international engagement.

Coordinate informative work, including spreading knowledge of applicable regulations, their background, and provisions regarding electrical equipment. Also, assist in drafting any supplementary amendments to the applicable regulations.

Your qualifications: You have an education as an electrician and have at least 5 years of experience.

You are also an electrical installer/engineer/machine master and can obtain electrical authorization.

You have experience working with technical reports.

You are independent in both demeanor and work, you have an overview and possess good communication skills both verbally and in writing.

You are outgoing and good at collaborating, and you have a knack for servicing many different types of customers.

Preferably multilingual – Greenlandic, Danish, and English.

Knowledge of F-gas installations is an advantage.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
