2 Educators for AKO Miniklub Qinngorput

AKO Miniklub is a childcare program for children in 1st to 3rd grade after school hours and is designed for 180 children aged 6 to 9 years.

At the current time, we are 16. Staff is distributed as follows:

Leader, Deputy Leader, 4 educators, 5 childcare and social assistants, 7 helpers including a cleaner. In addition, we have 9 trained employees and 5 permanent assistants, and the rest are substitutes.

AKO - The school care is open from 07:00 to 17:00 and is located at Hans Lyngep aqq 12 A in Qinngorput.

You are a trained educator and have a natural desire to work with children. You have a professional approach to your work and are accommodating and adaptable. You are able to listen to the children. You are flexible and able to plan spontaneously based on the children's interests. You are active and a good colleague who values a good workplace and actively contributes to its development.

The AKO arrangement means that AKO staff follow the student's schooling during school hours for the sake of the student's well-being. In addition, we also receive the upcoming 1st graders in March, until they start school in August; we have a good collaboration with Hans Lyngep atuarfia.

We expect that you:

Is trained as a pedagogue or equivalent

That you have experience in group management.

That you have knowledge of pedagogical work carried out in accordance with the Inatsisartut law and in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

That you can help prepare and maintain the annual plan.

Is professionally competent

Is cooperative towards children, staff, and parents.

Is flexible and stable

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
