A literature mediator with a focus on Greenlandic literature is sought for Team Nunarput at Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia – the National Library in Nuuk.

Team Nunarput works to promote and communicate Greenlandic literature to citizens locally in Nuuk and throughout the rest of the country. The team's main task is to support and strengthen the joy of reading and lifelong learning in our mother tongue. Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia has an ambition to be one of the largest providers of Greenlandic literature dissemination, in which you, as a literature disseminator, will be an important actor.
The team delivers content for the website and social media with a focus on qualitative, versatile, and current literature communication. Through lectures, exhibitions, and events, we ensure that Greenlandic values and customs are included, and that events are held with respect for our language, culture, and identity.
In addition, the team provides library professional guidance and holds courses for public librarians across the country.
Primary tasks:

Living and citizen-oriented communication of Greenlandic literature for children, young people, and adults – digitally on the website and social media, as well as physically through exhibitions in the library space.

The library is the public library for Nuuk and the central library for Greenland. It is a centrally located library that is frequently used by the citizens. We are organizationally divided into 4 teams: Team Groenlandica, Team Nunarput, Team Experiences, and Team Service. A library that is the driving force behind many cultural and literature-promoting events, including Author Celebrations and the annual Culture Night. In addition, we like to make our mark in the city's other cultural life, for example, the Suialaa Arts Festival.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
