The Social Authority is seeking an educational consultant to develop and enhance the educational work in residential institutions in Greenland. The Social Agency is seeking an educational consultant who can ensure high professionalism, development, and implementation of educational strategies in the residential sector.
About the Social Agency
The Social Authority is part of the Ministry of Children, Youth and Family and consists of seven departments that work closely together. The Round-the-Clock and Admissions Department is responsible for the operation and development of 7 self-governing round-the-clock services and 11 residential institutions. The department provides educational advice and guidance to the institutions and ensures a high standard in the educational work.
About the position
As an educational consultant, you will:

Develop and implement educational strategies and objectives.

Ensure the quality of daily educational work in the residential area.

Approve residential institutions and ensure documentation practices.

Collaborate with educational staff and support professional development.

Plan and facilitate annual headmaster seminars.
-
Handle inquiries, reports, and operational tasks.

Follow up on new projects in collaboration with principals.

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Criminal and child certificate
The Social Authority reserves the right to obtain criminal and child certificates. We therefore point out that the employment can only take effect once the Social Authority has received a satisfactory child certificate from the National Police as well as a criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the Social Authority with written consent from the individual, while the criminal record must be obtained by the individual themselves through the Police.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
Start date:
June 1, 2026, or by agreement.
