About the Job:

Sungiusarfik Ikinngut is a nationwide residential institution for young people and adults with physical and mental disabilities, located in Ilulissat.

The institution consists of two departments for 20 residents, a satellite department for one resident, as well as a workshop and a small bakery.

Employment: 1/2-26

The educator's tasks are:

• Participation in daily educational work

• Targeted pedagogical efforts

• Contributing to maintaining mentally and physically healthy working conditions.

Employment Conditions:

Salary will be according to the agreement between the Greenland Home Rule Government and the relevant union.

Housing can be provided according to the applicable rules. Moving and travel expenses will also be covered according to the applicable rules.

Salary and Employment Conditions

Salary and employment terms, including the right to travel and relocation, in accordance with the agreement/contract in effect at the time of employment between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

An unfurnished staff residence can be provided according to the applicable rules. Housing cannot be provided to individuals who already have staff housing or another residence owned by the municipality or Greenland Self-Government. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff residence is linked to the employment and must be vacated upon termination of employment.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the residence, ownership, etc. There may be a waiting period for the assignment of permanent staff housing, during which temporary accommodation may be provided, including in smaller shared accommodations or hotel apartments, which are subject to taxation. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
