Together with the Mineral Resources Agency, the Environmental Agency forms the Mineral Resources Authority in Greenland.
The Environmental Agency's Tasks
The task of the Environmental Agency is to ensure that the development of mining projects in Greenland occurs with minimal negative impact on the environment and nature. The Environmental Agency provides expert knowledge on environmental matters to support political decisions in accordance with the Mineral Resources Act. Solid work experience from a similar area and a welcoming and positive approach to collaboration with colleagues and the agency's partners is a big plus. You are, of course, dutiful and loyal and take pride in completing your tasks and providing the best possible support for political decisions.
-
We emphasize that you have:
A relevant higher education in natural sciences, political science, environmental management, or similar; Several years of administrative experience from relevant work in a private or politically governed organization; Interest in and preferably experience with the environmental field, including mineral extraction; Knowledge of and preferably experience with environmental assessments and monitoring; Experience with project management; Interest in and preferably experience with public administration and administrative law; Good language skills in Danish and English, and preferably Greenlandic; A strong sense of responsibility and a proactive and organized approach to your tasks; Good IT skills and preferably knowledge of F2, GIS, and Excel at user level; A social and welcoming nature, as well as a positive attitude and good humor.
We offer
A versatile and challenging position with good opportunities for developing your professional and personal skills. We prioritize a positive and respectful tone and work purposefully to promote high well-being. We are characterized by dynamism, ambition, and a strong sense of responsibility – both individually and collectively.
