Commencement: as soon as possible.

About Greenland's Police

Greenland's Police employs approximately 430 staff, of which around 190 are trained police officers.

Ilulissat is the second largest police station in Greenland. Under the station are the local police stations in Pituffik, Qaanaaq, Upernavik, and Uummannaq. The station in Ilulissat consists of one district leader who is a police commissioner, ten police-trained employees, four administrative employees, and reserve officers. The district covers a total of 5 towns and 22 villages, which, in addition to the staff in Ilulissat, includes an additional 10 police-trained, 6 reserve officers, 25 municipal clerks, and 3 administrative employees.

In Ilulissat, there are also several specialized units, including the investigation and a specialized team, which provides an exciting and versatile workplace with many different professional fields.

In Ilulissat, it is planned to open the new airport with international arrivals and departures at the end of October 2026. This is expected to involve significantly more air traffic and simultaneously increase the obligations and workload for border control for the police.

With us, you become part of a workplace with high professionalism, a strong collegial community, and an informal tone, where we help each other and prioritize both well-being and professional development.
