We are seeking a highly qualified employee with parliamentary expertise and administrative oversight for the position of Deputy Director in the Bureau for Inatsisartut. You will be responsible for the secretariat services for the Chairmanship and for preparing tasks during the Inatsisartut sessions. Strong communication skills and leadership abilities are essential.

We are looking for a highly qualified employee who possesses a good mix of parliamentary expertise and experience, as well as administrative oversight, for the position of Deputy Director in the Bureau for Inatsisartut. The Deputy Director must have a strong ability to ensure equal treatment of Inatsisartut members and the organization in Inatsisartut.
The deputy director is the head of the Chair's Secretariat, which is a staff function reporting to the director, and it consists of a deputy director, executive secretary, webmaster, communication officer, and the secretary of the Speaker of the Inatsisartut.
Your primary task will be advising the presidency and the director. Furthermore, it includes:
Responsible for the secretariat services of the Chairmanship and must possess a deep understanding of regulations, rules of procedure, and legislative processes.
Responsible for the preparation of and tasks during the Inatsisartut assemblies
Participation in and contribution to the various ongoing projects in Inatsisartut.
In close collaboration with the head of the court to be responsible for the drafting of regulations within the scope of the presidency's competencies.
In close collaboration with the director, create an organization that can ensure the operation for the political service and a good working environment.
The position comes with significant opportunities for personal and professional development. We expect you to possess good communication skills, both written and spoken, in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
It is expected that you have good leadership and collaboration skills. It is also expected that you are good at maintaining an overview in a hectic everyday life with many concurrent tasks and significant professional challenges. We also emphasize that you are motivated, that you are a good communicator of knowledge, and that you manage to maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude when the pressure is highest.
You must be prepared to make a significant and independent work effort, where considerable overtime is to be expected. This is especially true during meetings in Inatsisartut. Some travel within and outside Greenland should be anticipated.
The Bureau for Inatsisartut currently employs around 30 staff members, of which 9 are academic committee secretaries. The organization is characterized by a dynamic working environment, where the biggest challenges are typically concentrated around the 2 annual gatherings.
Salary and employment conditions will be based on negotiation and qualifications.
Particular emphasis will be placed on knowledge of and experience with personnel management and good collaboration skills when assessing applicants.
The Bureau for Inatsisartut covers expenses for moving household goods from your current residence to Nuuk. Housing can be provided, for which rent is paid according to applicable regulations.
