Administration Manager

An Administration Manager is sought for the Kujalleq municipality, responsible for managing and developing the municipality's infrastructure and cultural offerings. The position requires leadership experience and knowledge of municipal administration.

Kujalleq Municipality is looking for a dedicated and visionary director for one of the municipality's core areas. You will play a significant role, influence various sectors, and have a unique opportunity to contribute to the municipality's future.

You will be part of the municipality's administrative leadership, responsible for creating cohesion and quality, and you will have the opportunity to develop administrative services for all residents.

About the Position

As the director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Schools and Misi
  • Daycare centers
  • Majoriat in Qaqortoq, Nanortalik, and Narsaq
  • Department of Leisure, Culture, and Prevention

You will be part of the municipal leadership, reporting directly to the municipal director. You will manage and lead the supervisors and managers in the aforementioned areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Three schools and seven settlement schools
  • Eleven daycare centers
  • Three Majoriat centers
  • Ensuring vibrant cultural and leisure activities

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Managing, coordinating, and developing the department in collaboration with supervisors
  • Ensuring quality and cohesion in daily operations
  • Budgeting, financial management, and follow-up
  • Serving political committees and ensuring the implementation of political decisions
  • Participating in the municipality's forward-looking development and cross-sector collaboration

  • Ability to set direction, motivate, and lead by example
  • Structured and holistic approach to tasks
  • Strong collaborator, able to build trust and foster teamwork across sectors
  • Keen interest in community, residents, and culture, and a desire to contribute to our municipality

Salary and Employment Conditions

The terms of employment will follow the agreements in force at the time of employment with the relevant union. Housing may be provided according to current regulations. The municipality will cover travel and moving expenses related to the appointment.
