About the job
The Department of Housing and Infrastructure is seeking a lawyer to strengthen our legal competencies. Our professionals are familiar with the professional objectives, but we lack legal expertise to translate the objectives into legislation.
Your tasks will vary and must be solved in collaboration with the department's two offices and their associated professionals. The department consists of the Maritime office, which deals with ports and shipping, and the Aeronautical office, which deals with airports, aviation, postal services, telecommunications, and traffic. You will have tasks related to both offices.
The tasks include, among other things:
Political service
Legal sparring
Interpretation of legislation
Review of contracts
Response to consultations
Coordination and processing of national legislation
Meetings with stakeholders, partners, and participation in working group meetings
Ad hoc case processing

Both newly graduated and experienced lawyers are encouraged to mourn.
Knowledge of Greenlandic society, language, and culture is an advantage, but not a requirement.
About us
The Infrastructure Department consists of 12 employees distributed across two offices. The department is responsible for the planning, coordination, and resolution of various tasks within aviation, airports, shipping, port traffic, transportation, postal services, and telecommunications. Working in a department means that we must ensure that the politicians have the necessary decision-making basis and we must ensure that the politicians' wishes are implemented.

Security approval

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Date of commencement
As soon as possible or by agreement.
Working hours
40 hours weekly.
