AKO and School

The leisure component is a large and important part of most primary school children's daily lives, and for us, it is important that the after-school program (AKO) is a safe place that allows for "free play" alongside planned activities and movement. You will become a social pedagogue for a new AKO with about 300 children divided into three groups of approximately 100 children each. The AKO is part of Atuarfik Inussuk and operates according to the same values as the school. The new AKO is a merger of the two AKOs Illu and Narsarmiutaq and will be located in the same physical premises as the school. An important goal in the AKO will therefore also be to create continuity for the children from when they arrive at school in the morning until they go home after the leisure component in the afternoon.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
